Interior Ministry declares December 5, 2025 as a national public holiday to celebrate Farmers’ Day and honour Ghana’s farmers and fishers.

The Ministry of the Interior has announced that Friday, December 5, 2025 will be declared a statutory public holiday nationwide. 

In a statement issued by the Minister, Mohammed Mubarak Muntaka, the day will be observed as Farmers’ Day, honouring the vital work of Ghana’s farmers and fishers in supporting national development, food security, and economic growth. 

This year’s celebration carries the theme: “Eat Ghana, Grow Ghana, Secure the Future.” 

The Ministry is urging the public to observe the holiday appropriately, reflecting the importance of agriculture to Ghana’s well-being and progress.
